Traditionally woven on throw-shuttle pit looms, Kanjivaram sarees use the adai technique, with korvai for rich contrast borders and petni for distinctive pallus, often requiring two skilled weavers. The designs draw inspiration from temple sculptures, reflecting Kanchipuram's sacred heritage. At Chhavi,  Kanjivaram sarees are silk certified, use gold zari made from silver coated with gold over a silk core. We also provide a Zari certificate provided by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu.
